A Message From Our Council
The 20th century witnessed communism as a source of historical injustice for millions across the World. The most horrid communist crimes that severely violated human rights occurred more than half a century ago, yet research of these oppressive incidents is still in its infancy.
Lack of awareness of crimes against humanity committed by totalitarian regimes fuels tensions within and between nations. This prohibits societies from coming to terms with their past and therefore harmoniously developing in the future.
As the situation called for action, the Unitas Foundation was established. Through our target programmes, research and education, we aim to build reconciliation both within and between societies harmed by totalitarianism.
